National Inclusion Week
Last week, Wunderman UK enjoyed taking part in National Inclusion Week; a celebration of diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
In the spirit of inclusion, we threw it open to our employees to set the programme for the week. All we asked in return was to tell us, ‘What Does Inclusion Mean to You?’
We were interested in hearing their thoughts and feedback in improving inclusivity at Wunderman.
We gathered our employees to take part in several lunchtime talks. Among them, Leanne Page, our Programme Director, held an AI panel addressing the ethical usage of technology. Wunderman +, our LGBT+ education group highlighted the best and worse ad campaigns, talked the importance of authenticity and diverse creative teams.
The participation did not stop there! The programme offered workshops around mental health and wellbeing. Wunderman partnered with Mind, the mental health charity, who focused on Psychology and Happiness. These workshops ensure that employees are supported in their roles and support each other too.
Finally, as members of IPA, Wunderman partnered with ADUnlocked and hosted 20 students from Hampstead School to showcase careers available in our industry.
National Inclusion Week is a great reminder to be more inclusive with co-workers, to embrace diverse backgrounds and to be able to express yourself fully.
