Last week we attended the Adobe Summit EMEA in London together with 4000 other people who were all interested to hear about the latest developments in marketing and technology.
The main theme for the summit this year was ‘Re-invention’. With topics like ‘digital disruption’and ‘marketing transformation’ currently sitting high on most corporate agenda’s, this seemed like an appropriate over-arching theme to fill a 2 day conference with a great variety of speakers presenting on a wide range of marketing technology topics.
One highlight of the summit was the presentation of Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen during the Partner Briefing. In his presentation Shantanu outlined his vision for the future of the Marketing Cloud and how it will radically transform the entire marketing industry.
Obviously aware that this ultimately is a well crafted Adobe sales pitch, it was impressive to hear this from someone who is seen by many in the industry as a skillful leader responsible for transforming a large technology company that is Adobe over the last few years into a succesfull marketing technology company. Shantanu makes you listen carefully and take note of what is being said.
Narayen is very clear in outlining how his company will be a leading supplier of tools and systems that enable the transformation of how the marketing community uses technology and data to build brands, engage with people and market it’s products. This is one of the key reasons why Wunderman is a large Adobe implementation partner working for a growing number of our clients on the transformation of their business.
