Knowledgebase Marketing Up and Running Despite Weather

Richardson, Texas (September 15, 2008) - KnowledgeBase Marketing (KBM), a Wunderman company and leading provider of direct marketing services, with offices in Houston and Richardson (Dallas County), Texas, has accounted for its 110+ employees, and is “open for business” despite the devastation of Hurricane Ike.

As of September, 14th, Gary Laben, CEO of KBM, has reported that all of KBM’s employees are safe. On Friday, September 12th, in preparation for the storm, many members of the KBM team moved operations to Dallas, with others moving to other parts of Texas, where they sought shelter with friends and relatives.

“Our folks are safe and we can get back to business,” said Laben. “We will need to be both vigilant and creative as the day will bring many unusual scenarios.”

Laben and his team communicated throughout the weekend to monitor the situation. Currently, all of KBM’s servers, landlines and T1s are working. Communications continue to run through the Richardson office and, thanks to diesel generators, the Houston office is also receiving power. KBM is working with families that require child care and with those who must check on their homes.

“We extend our heartfelt wishes to our neighbors and friends during this tremendously difficult period,” said Laben.
