The D&AD New Blood Academy 2017, an intensive two-week creative bootcamp for new talent, has announced that Team Wunderman (the team of graduates mentored by Wunderman) has won the competitive pitch round for the second year in a row.
Wunderman trained and mentored a small team of D&AD New Blood Graduates to pitch a creative idea to a live client, giffgaff, competing against other mentor agencies including Landor, AKQA, Ogilvy and Grey.
WPP is a mentor sponsor for the D&AD New Blood Academy programme and has supported the expansion and pilot of programmes within D&AD’s Educational Foundation.
Ian Haworth at Wunderman comments: “We are thrilled and incredibly proud of Team Wunderman for winning the competitive pitch for the second year in a row.”
“D&AD does an outstanding job of nurturing new talent and giving them the opportunity to grow their skills, pitch to a live client and get a taste of agency life. It’s a real privilege to be mentoring and now offering placements to such an incredible group of people, who are without a doubt the brightest and the best graduates in their field.”
