Wunderman has conducted a research study that demonstrates how consumers are now firmly in control of the brand relationship.
The study establishes an imperative to understand and craft exceptional, joined-up experiences for customers. It shows that brands don’t just have to compete on experience with their industry rivals - they’re judged against the very best tech and service brands out there too. They need to be relevant, accessible and prove to consumers that they have a role in their lives. We call this concept, Wantedness.
To present this new concept we hosted an event for our clients and industry partners on Friday 24th February at The Soho Hotel, with an A-List panel of marketers, hosted by Wunderman’s Global CEO, Mark Read.
To kick off the event EMEA CEO Mel Edwards introduced Wantedness, followed by UK & EMEA CSO Richard Dunn taking a deep dive into the research, and discussing what it means for today’s brands. Mark Read then took to the stage to host our panel, including Carolyn McKeever, Global Head of Loyalty at Shell, Caroline Hudack, EMEA Brand Marketing Director at Airbnb and Philippa Snare, Director of Business Marketing at Facebook. The panel debated this new era of consumer power, and what it means for their marketing strategies, revealing some fascinating insights from what was a hugely successful event.
