Becky Chidester
President, New York
Becky was named president of New York in October of 2007 after serving two years as COO. She added important global brands, including LexisNexis, Nationwide and Smith Barney to its roster and significantly growing existing clients such as Hewlett-Packard. Prior, Becky served as president and CEO of RTCRM from 1999 to 2005, generating substantial business growth. She first joined RTCRM (then known as RTC Relationship Marketing) in 1989 soon after it was acquired by WPP. In 2002, the agency moved under the Wunderman umbrella. Early in her career, Becky worked on legislative programs, coalition-building and referendum campaigns for Fortune 500 clients and began her career in the press office of former Senator Birch Bayh of Indiana.
Becky earned a Bachelor of Science in public relations and journalism from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She is on the Board of Advisors of the Interactive Marketing Institute, part of Virginia Commonwealth University's Graduate School of Business. A member of the Greater Washington Board of Trade, Women in Communications, the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) and the American Marketing Association, Becky is a frequent speaker at industry events and the annual DMA conference.
